    • R.I.P. William Vance (XIII) Vu: I've just learned that Belgium artist William Vance has died on May 14, 2018, suffering from Parkinson's disease. He was 82. Vance was known for co-creating XIII (13), a sort of French/Belgium version of the Bourne Identity, in 1984. The XIII follows the story of an amnesiac protagonist who is trying to learn his true identity. XIII was adapted to a first-person shooter by Ubi Soft Paris in 2003, and also adapted for television in 2008, and followed by two series... with each series having, what else?, 13 episodes. Rest in peace, William Vance. Artists who died in 2018: 6 May (1) [14 May 2018] William Vance (Belgian comics artist for XIII, Bob Morane ...

Exclusive DC First Look: September's Action Comics and Detective Comics Titles
    by Russ Burlingame | June 13, 2017

DC has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive first look at the solicitation text for Action Comics #987 and #988,and Detective Comics #965, and the standard covers for Action Comics #987 and Detective Comics #965.

The cover for Detective Comics is particularly interesting, as the image is an homage to George Perez's cover to Batman #441, the middle chapter to "A Lonely Place of Dying," the story arc in which Drake was introduced as the third Robin.

The upcoming Detective story is titled "A Lonely Place of Living," and sees Drake trying to decide between escaping Mr. Oz's prison or staying behind -- a decision made harder by a surprising revelation that fans will have to wait to fully grasp the gravity of.

“A Lonely Place Of Living” part one! It’s the story you’ve demanded: Where in the world (or otherwise) is Tim Drake? Red Robin faces a crossroads…escape the most devious prison ever devised, or find himself abandoned beyond time and space for all eternity! Not much of a choice, right? But when he finds out just who is locked in there with him, Tim’s world will change in ways he never imagined! This is one of the biggest stories of the REBIRTH era, setting the stage for an explosive DETECTIVE COMICS epic!
