JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #217 (Aug 1983)

I was reading the free DIRECT CURRENTS #1 (2016) and thought I saw JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #217
on Dan Didio's desk in the two-page spread "The Further Adventures of
DC Co-Pub Dan Didio". Am I seeing things or is this another JLA issue?

ComicLink Comments:
This is one of the best, if not the very best, of the Justice League of America
covers from the entire 25-year run of the original title. It is drawn
by master team artist George Perez at the peak of his artistry. This
poster-like image features full figures of almost the entire
satellite-era Justice League, charging forward towards the reader. We
can think of no more perfect of a Justice League cover from this time
period. The roster includes Superman taking center stage surrounded by
Wonder Woman, Red Tornado, Hawkman, Elongated Man, Zatanna, Firestorm,
Atom, Black Canary, Green Arrow and Aquaman!
Perez broke into comics at Marvel in the mid-70s and became a sensation
at a young age drawing both of Marvel's chief team books of the time, Avengers and Fantastic Four. In 1980, he switched to DC where did a lot of work on Justice League of America and made history as the co-creator and artist of the New Teen Titans. Two years after this he drew this cover, he would make history again with DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths, the book that changed the entire DC Universe forever.
With the formation of the DC Cinematic Universe’s Justice League starting in next Spring’s much-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
to be followed up by two JLA movies, expect classic JLA images such as
this one to be in extremely high demand over the coming years. This is a
highly iconic image of the team and in recent years it has even
seen use in licensed material. We have included images below of just two
that we are aware of (for reference only), some school supplies from a
couple years back, and a T-Shirt display at Sears from just last week
(we also understand that a poster was produced of this image years ago).
With this image becoming so well known not just to fans of the comics
and Perez, but to the general public as a whole, this piece stands as
one of the most significant JLA works of at least the past 40 years.
The piece is signed by Perez in the UPC box. This art has an image area of approximately 10" X 15".
