by Chris Arrant, Editor Date: 22 March 2016 Time: 09:52 AM ET
Former WWE wrestler Eve Torres Gracie has been cast to play Maxima in an upcoming episode of CBS's Supergirl.
According to CBS, Torres Gracie will debut in April 11's "Myriad"
episode. The episode synopsis doesn't disclose how Maxima will factor
into the series, instead focusing on Melissa Benoist's Supergirl and her
continued battles against Non and Indigo.
(excerpt)
Maxima was created in 1989's Action Comics #645 by Roger Stern
and George Perez. A princess from the planet Almerac, she ventures to
Earth to find a mate in Superman. After being rebuffed by the Man of
Steel on several occasions, Maxima turns angry and attacks him. With the
advent of the "New 52" however, Maxima was reintroduced in a similiar
storyline, however with Supergirl in her sights as a potential mate.
