Combo Editions (Update: digital pricing still too expensive) posted Aug 2, 2011 4:54 PM by vu sleeper [ updated Aug 4, 2011 5:41 AM ]

SUPERMAN #1 (Combo Pack) (Sep 2011)
Since DC's Blog mentioned that there will be " Combo Edition"
of their new 52 comics, featuring a slightly altered cover of JUSTICE
LEAGUE #1, it would be a safe bet that SUPERMAN will also receive the
Combo treatment.
Combo editions will be polybagged with a redemption code for a digital
download of the issue upon purchase (which means that the comic book
store has to active the code - similar to the way gift cards only works
once activated?). Prices are yet unknown, but I am hoping it is no more
than $1 extra than the Standard version.
The cynic in me thinks it will be closer to $4.99.
I still think the digital version is priced too high - DC wants you to
pay $2.99 for the digital version (which costs virtually nothing to
distribute). UPDATE: From dcu.blog.dccomics.com,
prices for the Combo Pack of JUSTICE LEAGUE #1 will be $4.99 ($1 more
than the retail price of $3.99). Regular digital version is still the
same price as print edition, $3.99.
