    (excerpt)

This is the ORIGINAL George Perez Crimson Plague #1 Special Heroes Con Edition Cover Art. Of course it was penciled and inked by the LEGEND himself. Crimson Plague was George Perez's creator owned comic that was first put out by Joe Quesada and Jimmy Palmiotti's Event Comics then later thru IMAGE. What made Crimson Plague unique was that each character in the comic is modeled after an actual person. As I stated earlier this cover art was used for a Heroes Con Special Edition where proceeds went towards the Charlotte Burned Children's Fund. There are two pages that make this double spread cover and each page is 9" X 13" in size. The lettering of the pages ARE not on the actual artwork, but on acetate overlay. Also on the acetate by each character is the signature by the real person they were modeled after, plus by George himself.
