Greetings from a long time fan!
« Thread started on: 03/05/04 at 10:00am »
I was there when I started collecting Avengers #160! It wasn't long
until this awesome artist name George Perez' blew me away with page
after page. Red Rodin never looked better! :D Just wanted to say thank
you for making comics still exciting today as you did when I was a 10
yrs. old!!! ;)
My partner is talking to John Smith this
weekend about our show in Collinsville, IL. in September 25-26 this
year. (near St. Louis, MO) We already have Jim Steranko, Nick Carty,
Peter David and Billy Tucci! I am to hear back sometime next week from
Bernie Wrightson & CrossGen is in the works! We had Kurt last year
and we told the fans we would do our best to get you for this years
show. You were #1 fan pick that fans wanted to see most. That is an all
expense paid trip with you wife too, I might add! :)
Between me chatting with you here and Jim going to Mega-con, we hope to get in touch with you one way or another.
Hope to hear from you soon!

Greg Horn Part 2 |

From Greg Horn
George is one of the artists who really impressed me when I was just learning to draw. He and John Byrne
were the guys who laid a solid foundation for me as a comic artist and I
owe them a debt of gratitude. My favorite Perez issues are Avengers
160 - 162. A great story with revelations about Wonderman's past and
then an awesome battle with Ultron where he tries to transfer the Wasp's
brain into Jocosta's body!
