    • The unpublished Wizard 100th Issue Poster From George Perez WIZARD 100TH ISSUE POSTER (Errata) (2000) Wizard "A couple of years ago WIZARD had asked me to lay out a proposed poster for their 100th issue. The piece would be a montage of 100 characters to be pencilled and inked by various artists but the whole thing was designed in blue pencil by me. That's why each of the characters, from various companies and creators, were numbered, so that the other artists could refer to a key and draw their character where indicated. That particular artwork was never completed, presumably because of the inability to coordinate it with the schedules and availability of many of the artists WIZARD wanted involved." Force Works/forcewerks Confusion
    Sun, 26 Nov 2006 10:43:07 CST

    From George Perez

I'm afraid this news item is not true. My exclusive DC contract would not allow it. However, this item may just have confused some facts. I do have a waiver in my DC contract to do a cover for a company called forcewerks (spelling and lower case intentional) Productions, publishers of B.A.B.E. FORCE, a commitment I made before signing with DC -- similar to the pre-exclusive commitment I had with Dynamite Comics to produce the RED SONJA and DARKMAN VS. THE ARMY OF DARKNESS covers. The obvious similarities between FORCE WORKS and forcewerks could easily have caused confusion. For the record, I still haven't done that B.A.B.E. FORCE cover due to my workload, but it's still on my to-do list. forcewerk publisher Kirk Kushin has been extremely patient.

    Hope that clears everything up.
