UPDATE: From George Perez: The only time I did cover
layouts for another artist was for Chris Marrinan on Wonder Woman. The
signature on the “Prince and the Pauper” piece appears to be a forgery.

The Prince and the Pauper Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1978).
Here
is an interesting cover from the Marvel Classics Comics adaptation of
The Prince and the Pauper by Mark Twain. With pencils credited to John
Romita Jr., we believe he worked from layouts by George Perez, who
actually signed the cover in the UPC box and at the bottom. Tony
DeZuniga provided the inks for this swashbuckling action shot. Rendered
in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9.75" x 15".
The toned board has header, logo, and text stat paste-ups, with
production and residue staining, and handling wear. In Very Good
condition.
