    Marvel Comics turns 80 in August. To celebrate, the company is releasing Marvel Comics No. 1000, which follows its heroes from Day 1 in 1939, long before they became the global entertainment phenomenon they are today.

    Apparently, the reason why George Perez (and other former Marvel creators) are being recalled to work at Marvel Comics for their 80 years celebration - it is because Editor-In-Chielf C.B. Cebulski had an idea to sell a million copies of comics. Sounds like a "duh" idea, but can they afford to hire everyone?

    So far, Marvel has announced 96 creators involved with Marvel's August 2019 project:

    George Pérez Comes Out of Retirement For Marvel Comics With Al Ewing in August?

    And the second of these tonight is George Pérez, who announced his retirement earlier this year after health concerns. Well, he is seemingly out of retirement and returning to comic books – and to Marvel Comics no less – on a project with Al Ewing. The nature of that project is as yet unknown – but it is planned for August.
