    Superhero Cyborg: Body by Fisher!
November 28, 2017 By Kam Williams

JUSTICE LEAGUE (Film) (17 Nov 2017)
    Warner Brothers
Ray Fisher was born in Baltimore on September 8, 1987, but raised in Lawnside, New Jersey, where he developed an interest in acting while still in high school. After graduating, he attended the American Musical and Dramatic Academy before launching his career.

    (excerpt)

KW: How did you prepare to play Cyborg and his alter ego, Victor Stone?

RF: When they told me about the role, they sent me just about every comic book that Cyborg was ever in, starting with his original iteration from back in the Eighties by Marv Wolfman and George Perez in the New Teen Titans. I would literally read myself asleep going through all those old comics. Luckily, there was a lot of material to study about the character, so I didn’t feel like I needed to create him out of thin air. There were already established parameters for me to work within. On the physical side, before we started shooting the film, they put me in the gym with Jason Momoa [Aquaman], Ezra Miller [Flash], the whole crew and an army of Amazon women who would be in our film. We worked out about two hours a day, five days a week, on top of the five meals a day they would provide. It was a pretty intense experience.

    Cyborg Nano Metalfigs

posted Nov 18, 2017, 8:31 PM by Vu Nguyen

    From Vu

I saw these Metal Die Cast "Nano Metafigs" at Target and Walmart for $1 each. One of the DC figures is Cyborg, by itself, or in the 5-Pack, 10-Pack, or 20-Pack (priced at $5, $10, and $20, respectively).

If you get the packs, they include exclusive figurines/re-paints, so it might be worth it if you're planning on collecting these.  I think $1 is a great price for per figurine, but if you're like me, you just want to own your own Justice League or Avengers, so you'll spending at least $10 to make your team.

Some figures are more popular or harder to find, so you might have a little trouble finding Cyborg by himself.

Gillette Teams Up With Justice League

JUSTICE LEAGUE (Film) (17 Nov 2017)
    Warner Brothers
It's Justice League Day today (November 18, 2017). Did you guys get a chance to see the blockbuster film?  We've already seen it, it's a lot of fun.

Anyway, I've already mentioned that you can now pick up the various Justice League / Gillette Gift Packs at your local retailers (see pricing and details below), but I finally got my hands on the actual physical items to play around with.  The promotion is for Gillette's "The Best a Super Hero Can Get" (based on their slogan "The Best a Man Can Get").

These gift packs are a good deal, considering that buying a Gillette Fusion5 razor is $14.99 by itself (I just checked at my local Target today, they are on sale for $12.99 this week).  These gift packs are only $10* and comes with bonus shaving gels and extra cartridges.  They make a great gift for any Justice League fans.  If you're buying for yourself, these gift packs are a great way to try out on these deluxe razor blades for an affordable price.  It's definitely an upgrade if you're currently using disposable razors.

The big differences between the Gillette Mach3 vs the Fusion5, I've noticed is that Mach3 only shifts up & down, while the Fusion5 does up & down and left & right - making the Fusion5 a superior product to glide over any bumpy facial surface.  As for electric shaver vs the a five blade razor Gillette razor, the blades cuts much closer and cuts more hair.  You'll feel much smoother with a real razor blade.

For promotion, Gillette has also produced a limited number of custom Justice League razor handles for store displays or promotional giveaways.  These handles are 3D-printed and really aren't meant for practical shaving - but they sure do look cool in the display box.

That's not all, they've also help produced the Justice League VR: Gillette Edition (which is the same as the Justice League VR: Join the League), a free virtual reality game for the iPhone or Android devices.  If you are using Android, you must also download Google Cardboard, as it access the VR technology in the Cardboard application.  To help promote the VR game, Gillette has also sent out these fold-able custom cool Justice League Cardboard (made of a hardened plastic material).  While the Cardboard looks very cool, it also feels very fragile against the weight of a big phone.  I recommend using your own VR headset if you have one.

    * The two exceptions are the Batman & Wonder Woman packages are sold for $15, but comes with extra body wash and shaving gels.

Gillette's limited edition “Justice League” inspired gift packs details:

JUSTICE LEAGUE (Film) (17 Nov 2017)
    Warner Brothers
Gillette, the world’s leading expert in men’s grooming, is taking its game to a higher level today by announcing a new partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Justice League” to embark on a mission: to evolve its technology to meet the needs of even the most powerful Super Heroes.

Having already developed a variety of products that are precision engineered to be “The Best a Man Can Get,” Gillette is especially equipped to take on the highly regarded challenge of uncovering what constitutes “The Best a Super Hero Can Get”—whether that be in Advanced Grooming Studies labs around the globe or at Gillette World Shaving Headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts.

Kicking off the partnership, Gillette has unveiled a long-form video spot giving viewers an inside look into the types of considerations its highly advanced researchers will need to bear in mind, as they face this new challenge. From Aquaman’s saltwater irritation to The Flash’s windburn, Gillette’s R&D team is on a quest to further understand the grooming needs of this next generation of humans – the Justice League.

“We know the depth of R&D that it takes when it comes to engineering razors that meet the needs of regular guys, and now, we are applying that knowledge in a way we’ve only dreamed of doing before,” said Max Menozzi, Vice President of Gillette North America. “In the process, we are also looking to ‘Justice League’ experts—the fans—to provide us with additional insights to consider for their favorite Super Heroes.”

Additionally, Gillette will release limited edition “Justice League” inspired gift packs this holiday season featuring all six Super Heroes - available nationwide starting late October:
