This pencil is currently in production in Germany, and it should be available for shipping by early March 2012. In response to repeated inquiries about where this pencil can be purchased: We sell the Pérez Pencil directly to retail customers, but we will also distribute the pencil to other retailers that are interested in carrying it. Thus, individuals who frequent local comic book shops can mention to their shops that they are interested in purchasing the George Pérez Special Edition. I am very interested in the George Pérez Special Edition Shorty Mechanical Pencil. Will any stores other than Stylus Fine Pens be carrying it? I followed the link and found the price of the pencil, $17, to be reasonable.

However, their flat US shipping rate, $20, is a bit high for a single item. Thank you for your help.

    From George Pérez

This is the original piece of art I drew. I tried to find something that wasn't the typical superhero fare and was inspired by the badge I drew for Dragon*Con last year.
