MegaCon
It was with heavy heart but great admiration to be present for the George Pérez memorial service hosted at MegaCon Orlando inside the sprawling Orange County Convention Center. …
Though it only may be the unofficial start of Summer, it is definitely the official start of comic convention season and we packed up our Avengers Quinjetto flydown to Orlando, FL for the Southeast’s largest show, MegaCon Orlando 2022.

Last, but certainly not least, Themysciran ambassador Troia is Donna
Troy’s debut in the Young Justice universe! Donna made her comics debut
as Wonder Girl in The Brave and the Bold #60 (written by Bob Haney and

Watching the DC Daily staff opening up their gifts, we learned a few things about DC Universe:
- Titans is the most viewed content on DC Universe (no surprises here)
- Over 2.7 million comics have been read on DC Universe
- 44% engagement
- DC Encyclopedia got over 250 entries.
- Over 50,000 voted in Should Jason Todd Live or Die new poll
They didn't mention any subscriber numbers, but looking at Business Insider,
they said that "around 143,000 iOS and Android users" (but only 24%
paid - which is 34,320). This is data from a third party called Sensor Tower, so take it with a grain of salt. |

TITANS (Television Show) (2018)

Yesterday I took the trek to Burbank for the DC Daily show on the new DCU streaming network. I'll talk about the unbelievable surprise I got when the segment airs, but in the meantime I also got to meet Conor Leslie, the actress who is playing Donna Troy/Wonder Girl on the Titans TV show. One of the great things about the show is how wonderful the cast is so I can't wait to see Conor as Donna this Friday.
If you don't subscribe to the DCU you really should. The Titans show keeps getting better and better and I can't wait to see where it's going (yes, they've told me I could come into the office and binge all the episiodes now, but there's something special about seeing it once a week, the way God meant TV shows to be watched).

Thoughts on DC Daily Live Stream
posted Aug 30, 2018, 11:01 PM by Vu Nguyen [ updated Aug 30, 2018, 11:11 PM ]

Some thoughts on the DC Daily live stream. It was basically a long
commercial for DC Universe. They hired about 9 hosts (including Harley
Quinn & Kevin Smith) for the daily program, which will launch
September 15 with the live streaming service.
If you missed the DC Daily live stream, you can still watch the entire video on YouTube (as well as Facebook and Twitch) youtube.com
The video is over 2 1/2 hours long (3 hours with the 30 min countdown)
and near the 1:57 mark, you can see the George Perez clip. The interview
is the first clip of several, and it was originally shot around April
24, 2018, at the DC Comics office. Marv Wolfman was also there, so
expect more George and Marv in future clips. See photo - George is
wearing the same outfit on the right (taken in April).
During the live broadcast yesterday, Kevin Smith mentioned they will be
debuting Titans at the New York Comic Con (October 3), which bothered me
that they are making us wait a month instead of launching the show with
the service. I think the price is a little high, do you think so? I'll
probably subscribe for one month only when Titans is on the service in
October and let you know what I think.
