I can't say enough about George. Not only is he an amazing
talent....but he's an amazing person. I've been fortunate enough to
meet George and purchase art from him at the Dragon Con convention in
Atlanta, Ga. I look forward to speaking with him again in the future,
but incase he isn't sent a copy of this, I thought he would appreciate
this picture. Brilliant.

Thank you George!

2010 Zatanna Cosplay (Blue & White) by DJ Spider
Sunday, September 19, 2010
I believe this one was taken at Dragon*Con 2010, with Zatanna posing
next to her suit's designer, none other than master illustrator George
Pérez. DJ says, "Your Perez blue and white, with the man himself...
That was taken my George's wife, and is from his Fan Page on Facebook.
I was so jittery about it, I totally forgot I had a camera, too!"

Jim writes 9/17/2010 11:20:43:
I was at Dragon*Con and snapped a few shots of Mr. Perez with his
nieces who were dressed up in various DC Comics costumes during the
con. I also have a shot of him with Stan Lee when Mr. Lee stopped by to
visit.
As of this date (9/17/2010), I've only posted one photo so far at this address:

P.S. More shots are coming. I took over 500 photos that weekend and going through all of them is taking a lot of time.

ON THE LOOSE AT DRAGON CON 2010!!!-Part 3

9/4-Day Two.
Just
like the night before the con proper began, the night of the first day
was marked by unbearably loud partying punctuated by screaming and
broken glass, all generated by the incredibly inebriated con-goers and
the gaggle of testosterone-driven college football fans who were
present. From what I witnessed, all participants were of at least legal
drinking age, but the behavior I beheld would have shamed a bunch of
kids out drinking Purple Jesus punch at a suburban backyard booze-up
while mom and dad were away for the weekend.

Tales From Dragon*Con 2010 – Part Deux

Holy
mother of all that is good and great in this world! I have found my
tribe. I had no idea cons are such an amazing experience. I literally
floated through my weekend on adrenaline from the energy in downtown
Atlanta. There were so many amazing people gathered in one place. From
the beautiful and strange to the art and the artists, Dragon*Con was
EPIC!
(excerpt)
There were so many wonderful moments at Dragon*Con, but I’d like to
give special thanks to the Bane cosplayer who lifted me in the air with
one arm. That was all kinds of awesome, and surprising! Five minutes
later, I’m riding the escalator with George Perez. He’s standing with a
beautiful Supergirl and says, “You don’t see her everyday.” I say, “I
don’t see YOU everyday!!!” George being the darling that he is, gave me
a big hug and a wet one on the cheek. This is the amazing kind of shit
that only happens at cons.
