During our latest traveling, we succeeded in that George Perez receiving our message from ComixZone! He looked like my cute (but impolite) uncle and when you spoke to him directly, it was truly easy. Here is the message he wrote.

To all my fans in Japan:
Thank you all for your support throughout the years. I had little idea that my work had found such a loyal audience in a country so far away. Such is the magic of comic books. I am humbled by your attention and honored by your appreciation. Perhaps someday I shall have the unique pleasure of meeting more of you face-to-face.

    Sincerely,
    George Perez

Getting a sketch from George Perez motivated us to actually get up the next sleep-deprived morning. A line formed halfway around the CrossGen booth the moment he sat down, and we were very lucky to be one of the first people in line. Between Saturday and Sunday, George spent 12 hours doing sketches and signing autographs.

CrossGen Comics will be at booth 515, according to the latest MegaCon Newsletter. Special guests from CrossGen Comics includes: George Perez, Mark Waid, Steve Epting, Rick Magyar, Scot Eaton, Andrew Hennessy, Wil Quintana, Barbara Kesel, Steve McNiven, Tom Simmons, Morry Hollowell, Bart Sears, Andy Smith, Michael Atiyeh, Ron Marz, Greg Land, Drew Geraci, Brandon Peterson, John Dell, Andrew Crossley, Jim Chuen, Don Hillsman II, and Caesar Rodriguez.

Note: Although Perez's name appears in the CrossGen one-page ad, I was disappointed to not see his name mentioned amoung the "Featured Guests" (as say, Mark Waid was mentioned in the guest as well as the CrossGen page), as the featured guest includes a short biography and description of the artist or writer. Another note to make is that Booth 515 is the largest and prominently placed booth in the building on the newsletter, but as seen on their website, it looks like the other tables surrounding it.
