For those who do not know who the wonderful man George Perez is, he
is the father of Teen Titans and basically anything DC related. He is
crazy nice and a great artist. He does a lot of work for the Hero
Initiative and cosplayers come help raise money for the group so thats
where this is from.
Three eras of Teen Titans stories came together at MegaCon Saturday
afternoon when original TEEN TITANS artist Nick Cardy was joined by
George Pérez, who drew the Titans in what was probably their most
popular era, and Dan Jurgens, writer and artist of the Titans during the
mid to late 1990′s. The panelists shared stories about working on
Titans stories and answering questions from the audience, including
their views about the New 52 version of the Titans.
Thanks go out to Nick Cardy, George Pérez and Dan Jurgens for allowing me to record their panel and post it for this episode.

Check out SLIPSTREAM, the weekly web comic book I’m drawing and
lettering, which is written by Jeffrey Taylor, co-host of the FROM
CRISIS TO CRISIS PODCAST and contributor to the SUPERMAN HOMEPAGE. New
pages of SLIPSTREAM can be found each Saturday at www.clockworkcomics.co.uk. Adam Dechanel, another contributor to
the SUPERMAN HOMEPAGE, also writes and draws E. O. S. for Clockwork
Comics, and new pages are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Three eras of Teen Titans stories came together at Orland, Florida's
MegaCon on Saturday, February 18th. Original Teen Titans artist Nick
Cardy, now 92 years old, was joined by George Pérez, the artist of what
is probably the most popular Titans era, and Dan Jurgens, writer and
artist of the Titans in the mid to late 1990's.

George said that the one thing he bemoans about the current state of
comic book costume design, the major publishers have a small group of
people design the costumes, instead of having all the artists designing
the costumes. He compared it to real life, where everyone doesn't go to
one clothing manufacturer or wear the same uniform.
Dan Didio, Co-Publisher of DC Comics, began MegaCon's Saturday panel
about the New 52 by thanking all of the fans who came to the panel,
which began at 10:30am. He then introduced the panel guests: Executive
Editor Eddie Berganza, writer of All-Star Western and The Ray Jimmy
Palmiotti, Batman artist Greg Capulo, writer of New Guardians Tony
Bedard and writer and artist of Green Arrow and Superman Dan Jurgens.

Didio then asked Jurgens about his return to Superman. Jurgens began by
saying that when he had talked with George Pérez, he was surprised when
George said, "I can't believe I need reference to draw Superman." After
beginning his run on the title, Jurgens said, "I can't believe I need
reference to draw Superman." His first issue will be issue seven, with
Keith Giffen as co-writer and Jesus Merino as inker, who Dan said was
doing a knockout job on the art. The creative team's goal is to tell
some wide open Superman stories that are fitting for the character,
while doing some interesting for Clark and Jimmy. As for what's in store
for Clark and Jimmy, Dan gave one word, "bedbugs."
