    • DC Comics removed Jerry Siegel's name from later reprints of The Spectre From Vu ALL-STAR COMICS #16 (Apr 1943) DC Comics Did you know that DC fired Jerry Siegel, because he wanted the copyright to Superman? DC later removed his name/credit from The Spectre (leaving only Bernard Baily as sole creator or artist) from later reprints - via cbr.com DC would eventually acknowledge Siegel's credit and contribution.
