MegaCon
It was with heavy heart but great admiration to be present for the George Pérez memorial service hosted at MegaCon Orlando inside the sprawling Orange County Convention Center. …
Though it only may be the unofficial start of Summer, it is definitely the official start of comic convention season and we packed up our Avengers Quinjetto flydown to Orlando, FL for the Southeast’s largest show, MegaCon Orlando 2022.

SMASHCON 9 (18 Nov 2017)
Sanford, Florida
As most of you know today was local comic shop day (November 18, 2017) and it was also the
9th anniversary of Smash Comics and Games in Sanford Florida. SmashCon
9 as it's actually known.
Among the events and festivities that happened
was an appearance by newly inducted Hall of Famer George Perez. Earlier
this year, George had a heart attack and, for now, has had to stop doing
conventions until his doctor has cleared him... but he was able to make an
appearance today and signed autographs and posed for pictures.
He has
lost some weight and joked about having to buy some new clothes because
nothing fits him now. He had a very good day and was glad he could come
out and help support the store.
