From Art Benefiting Children
George Perez color Tigra sketch - Original sketch of Marvel's Tigra
character by George Perez. Created at this year's Wizardworld Chicago
show. Original pencil and inks by Perez, then colored by Tom Smith at
the CBLDF booth. Specially commissioned at Chicago for the Art
Benefiting Children charity auction. George does very few sketches at
his convention appearances. This piece was sold on E-bay for $81.00. A money order for the whole amount, $81.00 was donated to the Ronald McDonald House. We have also received a nice "thank you" card from them.

From Eric, via Ebay
This is a sketch drawn by George, for me, while attending WIZARD WORLD
in Chicago this past August! Drawing measures 14" x 17" and is on 3-4
ply BRISTOL BOARD! HE ONLY DID FOUR (4) FULL BODY SKETCHES over the 3
day comic con! A "sizeable" donation for ACTOR, a non profit
organization, that helps with retired comic book illustrators and
writers, got me the sketch initially! A GREAT GUY (George), A GREAT
ORGANIZATION (ACTOR), AND A GREAT SKETCH (Batman/ Spidey)! Last picture
is of George and myself after the drawing was completed!

Over Guice's left shoulder is super-artist George
Perez, whose ass was never seen all weekend
because it was planted on that chair for the entirety. In San Diego,
Perez did 203 sketches over the course of four days and Preview Night.
While WizardWorld is only three days, the lines were just as long and
just as persistant. When I get the final tally, I'll be sure to print it here.

TOTALLY TERRIFIC TEAM-UP: JLA/AVENGERS UPDATE
by Russell Lissau, Contributing Writer
Posted: August 18, 2001
The series isn't ready for publication
just yet, but work on the much-anticipated team-up of the Justice League
and the Avengers is progressing. Really.
"George Perez is about halfway through
the first issue, and it's unbelievable," DC editor Dan Raspler announced
Saturday during a Wizard World panel about the future of the DC
Universe.
The crowd went wild at the news, as well as a slide of one of Perez's promotional pieces for the project.
The four-issue series will be drawn by
Perez and written by Kurt Busiek. Raspler is co-editing the project with
Marvel's Tom Brevoort.
