Back in 1999, I started carrying a small sketchbook with me when I attended conventions. It was the perfect size to fit in my back pocket, and it was small enough that artists felt like they could do quick headshots for me. Today's sketch is one of my prized possessions. Its my first George Perez sketch. I got this back in 2001 when Perez was working with CrossGen. I waited in line for 90 minutes to meet him and get this sketch.

I asked him to do Supergirl circa 1985. One of the most important comic book moments for me was when Supergirl gave her life in Crisis on Infinite Earths #7. I hope you enjoy this as much as I have.
