I was in a Patriots glow all weekend so missed out on being on time for the George Perez retirement accolades, but that guy drew superheroes in a way that made you love them as much as he did. Whatever Kirby or Adams meant to previous generations, Perez meant for my fandom.

I've had a tattered version of this hanging wherever I've live since high school. And the JLA/Avengers Absolute Edition was probably my first Prized Comics Possession. He's always drawn with joy and he made nerdy shit fun. That's the legacy of the OG Crisis as much as anything.
