The long-awaited Games graphic novel featuring the 1980s' era New Teen Titans will be the major project on George Perez' plate for the next year, though not the only one, the fan-favorite artist said.
"I've been asked to do a couple of other things," he told CBG, though he said he was unable to discuss the projects until they are announced. "[Games isn't] the only thing I’ll be involved in; it's the major thing I'll be involved in," he said.
The guest of honor at the recent Baltimore Comic Con confirmed that the project, which will reunite him with writer Marv Wolfman on the characters, has been restarted at DC Comics. About 50 pages remain to be pencilled and inked -- including 21 pages of layouts he's already started -- with another 70 pages either inked or pencilled.
"I don't think they're going to take it seriously until they get some of the actual pages drawn," Perez told CBG. He said he inked some of the pages himself, others have been inked by Al Vey, and Mike Perkins will ink the remainder of the book.
