I met a legend today, I'm so happy I got to meet George Perez today. He is one of my comic book artist heroes and it was so amazing I got to meet him.

2 hours and 45 minutes of standing in line to get autographs from George Perez.....

George Perez is a very big reason I’m the comicbook fan I am today. There wasn’t a story he drew I didn’t read. Today I was able to thank him in person.

I stood 3.5 hours to meet the legendary comic artist #GeorgePerez, who will be retiring soon, to get his autograph at #C2E2. He is the reason I fell in love with Wonder Woman. 😍  Not only is he a nice guy, but an amazing artist!

@epLifts writes:

This will be the best moment of 2019. I said "you called me crazy" George Perez said "you are, I wouldn't stand in line to see me!" The nicest most genuine person in comics. I started to cry when he said "it's good I have to get out while you all still love me" we always will ❤️

Sketchcover I drew of one of my all time favorite characters: Cyborg, signed by legends George Perez & Marv Wolfman, creators of Cyborg; Ernie Hudson, voice of Cyborg from a season of Super Friends cartoon; & Art Baltazar & Franco, writers & artists of the Super Powers Comic

Unbelievable way to finish day 2 and more things that actually happened. Got to meet, chat, get selfies, and books signed by two legends. Both were an absolute joy to talk with, and I wish I had more time.

Today for my birthday I had the pleasure of going to C2E2 and met George Perez which was amazing!

Day 2 complete. So happy I met with Clark Gregg and took a pic with him and my friend. Also meeting George Perez to get my comic signed. Its unfortunate he is retiring but he made a huge impact in the comic book industry.

Back in 1983, my grade school friend Henry Walker gave me a comic book of his to read and keep for a wknd. The New Teen Titans. I read it and enjoyed the story, but I was even more fascinated by the artwork. The art was penciled by George Perez. From then on I've been a avid fan of his artwork! It is very distinctive. I always said that when I meet him I will let him know how I felt about killing off my favorite Teen Titans Terra. So 36 years later, I got my shot! He gave me a "uh um uh oh" look. So we talked and laughed on it and he said if you got an emotion from a character than I done my job. After taking pictures and thanking him he then jokingly said "My condoldences to your loss with Terr" :) so I did get a pic with George with my first Titan book I read from him.

During Day 2 of @c2e2, comics legend #GeorgePerez signed comics and talked to fans. Such a gracious, wonderful guy! @brokenfrontier

I have been a fan of George Pérez since 1975 when I bought "Avengers" #141 at a Ribordy's drug store in Munster, Indiana. I meet George twice at cons in the 1980s but I really wanted to see him one more time. So I stood in line from about 1:00 to 4:45 on Saturday at C2E2. George is as genuine and giving as a person can be. He signed a "New Teen Titans" #24 and a "Crisis on Infinite Earths" #7 for me and posed for a picture. THANK YOU for all the great art and stories over the years!

My sexy wife took me to Chicago so I could attend C2E2 (Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo) and see George Perez before he retires. I now have his autograph on my Crisis on Infinite Earths Absolute Edition, along with writer Marv Wolfman and editor Len Wein. George is one of the greats, he's a super nice guy, and I hope he enjoys his retirement as much as I've enjoyed his work.
