Tommy Castillo, artist on Batman and Detective Comics has passed away yesterday (June 23rd). According to youcaring.com, Castillo had a long battle with diabetes, which led to stage 4 kidney failure. They were in the process of getting approval to get a kidney transplant, but it did not happen soon enough.
His wife, Sammy Castillo posted the news on facebook.com:
