GEORGE PEREZ'S SIRENS #5 (25 May 2016)
Boom! Studios
George Perez writes:

Issue 5 has been finished by me for a few months (and has already been colored and lettered) and I am currently half way through Issue 6. I am so genuinely sorry for the lateness of this series, but my eyesight post surgery has caused me residual difficulty in producing work that I think is worthy of print. I am now down to being able to draw only one page a week, using Photoshop to polish up and enhance my inks digitally, and I am just so grateful to everyone at BOOM! for their patience and understanding. I believe the company has held off on the final publishing of Issue 5 (the final colors still need to be approved) so as not to have as large a gap between it and the last issue, which has an increased page count of 30 pages. Due to the realities of my current condition (it's not likely my vision will ever be any better than it is now, my next job may be kept strictly to pencilling and I can reserve my full inks to covers and posters. For all of you who have express concern through the last couple of years, thank you. I am fortunate that I am earning a very tidy sum in royalties and am in the enviable position of not needing to work in order to make a living. But, I can't drop drawing comics cold turkey. I'm addicted to the smell of graphite and Bristol board. ;)

NOTE: Previews is listing Sirens #5 with a shipping date of 25 May 2016
