Nostalgia is a powerful thing for gamers and for those who grew up in arcades or in front of an 8-bit screen, there’s normally fond memories attached to those classic games. From Pac-Man and Centipede, to Mario and Megaman – retro games are making a comeback in a huge way, and some are even continuing their stories in comics!

In celebration of Video Game Month, PREVIEWSworld has put together a list of five retro game titles that have made their way to comics. You can find these titles and more comics, graphic novels, and toys at your local comic shop.

Atari Classics Swordquest

Dynamite Entertainment is digging into the vault as the classic Swordquest mini-comics are collected for the first time ever. Originally packaged with the Atari cartridge of their namesake title, fans can now own the complete Atari Classics Swordquest (JUN171521). Created by comic book legends Roy Thomas, Gerry Conway, George Perez, and Dick Giordano, fans of classic comic and classic video games will love the beautifully remastered fantasy adventure of siblings Torr and Tarra as they set off on a quest across four worlds to recover the mystical Sword of Ultimate Sorcery!
