In the letter column of Wonder Woman #325 (May 1985), a reader asked about George Perez's interview in Mile High Futures newsletter stating that he will be drawing (and possibly scripting) Wonder Woman.

The answer, by editor Alan Gold: "As for George Perez's drawing this comic... well, he was just ventilating a long-held desire of his. It's not something he could possibly get to in the near future."
