Among the events and festivities that happened was an appearance by newly inducted Hall of Famer George Perez.  Earlier this year, George had a heart attack and, for now, has had to stop doing conventions until his doctor has cleared him... but he was able to make an appearance today and signed autographs and posed for pictures. He has lost some weight and joked about having to buy some new clothes because nothing fits ...

  • Cyborg Nano Metalfigs From Vu I saw these Metal Die Cast "Nano Metafigs" at Target and Walmart for $1 each. One of the DC figures is Cyborg, by itself, or in the 5-Pack, 10-Pack, or 20-Pack (priced at $5, $10, and $20, respectively).  If you get the packs, they include exclusive figurines/re-paints, so it might be worth it if you're planning on collecting these.  I think $1 is a great price for per figurine, but if you're like me, you just want to own your own Justice League or Avengers, so you'll spending at least $10 to make your team.  Some figures are more popular or harder to find, so you might have a little ...

  • Gillette Teams Up With Justice League From Vu JUSTICE LEAGUE (Film) (17 Nov 2017) Warner Brothers It's Justice League Day today (November 18, 2017). Did you guys get a chance to see the blockbuster film?  We've already seen it, it's a lot of fun. Anyway, I've already mentioned that you can now pick up the various Justice League / Gillette Gift Packs at your local retailers (see pricing and details below), but I finally got my hands on the actual physical items to play around with.  The promotion is for Gillette's "The Best a Super Hero Can Get" (based on their slogan "The Best a Man Can Get"). These gift packs are a good deal, considering that buying a Gillette Fusion5 razor ...

  • Site Update (03/04/14): Twitter
    posted Mar 4, 2014, 9:31 AM by Vu Nguyen   [ updated Mar 4, 2014, 3:40 PM ]

Vu here. It's been a long time since I actually wrote about what's going on.

I've recently updated the main news page to display a Twitter feed to show any "perezartist" so I can keep track of what's going on. Unfortunately, the ad takes up the entire length of the webpage that I had to hide portion of it. I don't think anyone is complaining.  Let me know if you're having difficulties viewing page.  I've optimize the look for iPad, but it should display just fine on a regular computer browser.   The first table will automatically scale to your screen.

UNFORTUNATELY: If you are viewing on a screen smaller than 1280 1024 pixels, it may look awful.  If this affects you, please email me at vu at weheartmusic.com and if I get enough complaints, I will redesign the page.

For most people, the website should look fine. See images below for comparison:

    From Vu

I'm not too crazy about Facebook, but for those who would rather keep updated on things exclusively through the service, I've created a page: facebook.com.  You can "like" it and updates will appear on your newsfeed.

When google open up their Google+ service, I will also create a page for that.

Here's some music for the weekend:

    >>>

    KREAYSHAWN
    kreayshawn.tumblr.com

I normally don't write about hip-hop, but it's really hard to ignore lady rapper Kreayshawn. I first heard about her from The Daily, the description I took away from reading the article was that she the "anti-Rebecca Black" and how she wasn't very "Disney".

She drinks and she smokes and she doesn't give a f___. She's also into tumblr, twitter, fashion (but hell to the no to Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, or Prada), and eye-gouging animated gifs.

With over nine million youtube views for her break out hit song, "Gucci Gucci", it's easy to see why Columbia Records signed her up quickly.

The gadget spec URL could not be found
I am in the middle of updating old archive material and breaking down the checklist structure (for instance Superman), so you will likely see broken links to images.  Please be patience.

Going through version 3, I noticed that there was an old messageboard (which admittedly was never popular with few users and feedback).

Update: I've added a Google+ button. I can't seem to get it to work with my profiles.google.com account.  Let me know if you're having trouble getting it to work either, right now it just shows "zero".
